Koningshof is an urban agriculture initiative on the eastern edge of Utrecht. With this green initiative, she wants to preserve and strengthen Utrecht’s agricultural identity. Since 2012, we have been building the project together on Saturdays where young and old can learn about building, harvesting, preserving & preparing their own vegetables, fruit and herbs.

From the historic horticultural area, located in the basin of the Kromme Rijn and the firing fields of the New Dutch Water Line, Koningshof makes a strong case for connecting people with a healthy & sustainable food system.

Market stall

On Saturdays, the market stall is in the yard! You can contact us for ‘Vegetables with Roots’ from our own greenhouse and products from other local initiatives.
Healthy products for a good price!

Coffee shack

When the weather is nice you can sit outside in one of our orchards. You can go to the Koffie shack for something fresh, a delicious espresso or cappucino with something delicious on the side. We also have ice cream!

Picking garden

During the season (March to October) the picking garden is open every Saturday. You pick your flowers there yourself and pay for them at the market stall.

Beekeeping

With various orchards, vegetable gardens and flower-filled picking gardens, Koningshof is a dream place for a number of bee colonies. Our beekeepers share the harvest with the bees; part to hibernate and part for us to taste.
